ABOUT
The Core Acro and Tumbling
We are a certified Acrobatic Arts gym.
This program is designed to promote excellence in flexibility, strength, balancing, limbering, tumbling, contortion, and partner stunting for dancers. In Acro the dancer must complete all their skills on a hard stage without the advantage of a sprung floor. Acro might look the same as gymnastics tumbling, but they're taught differently to compensate for the conditions.
The Core offers different levels of tumbling classes, from beginner to advanced levels. Our Acro and Tumbling programs follow progressions to achieve basic to advanced level skills. You can move up to the next level in our tumbling program when you achieve all the skills required. Personal progression and safety is our main goal in our Tumbling and Acro programs.
FORM MATTERS!
Nikki Stichter
Owner of The Core
Certified Acrobatic Arts Teacher
I grew up in a gym. I was a competitive gymnast for most of my childhood and teenage years. I trained at the gym anywhere from 5-6 days a week. I moved from level to level very quickly, as I wanted more and had a desire to be great. Hard work pays off. I also did competitive cheerleading and utilized my gymnastic abilities as a flyer and on my tumbling passes. I loved being able to push myself to my limits in both sports.
I'm a wife and mother of three. My girls both started dance at a young age and decided competition dance was their passion. I decided to get certified in Acrobatic Arts because it took my knowledge of tumbling and their passion for dance and combined them. Being a certified instructor has been one of the best decisions I've ever made.
After becoming certified I started coaching slowly until I needed a larger space. This gym is a dream come true for me. I absolutely love working with dancers from multiple studios, cheerleaders from different schools, gymnasts, divers, color guard, etc.
One certification became two and three very quickly as I had that same desire, I want to be great. I want to always better myself as I hope to instill in each one of my students.
"You don't have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great!"

Certified Assistant Teacher
I'm 13 years old. I've been dancing with Des Dance for 10 years and this is my 7th year dancing competitively. I love it more every day. I started Acro lessons with my mom over 6 years ago. When she became certified, I went along as her student demonstrator at the age of 8. I was eligible to become an assistant teacher though Acrobatic Arts at the age of 12. The online course included an online study, workbook that covers the essential topics of: the roles of the assistant teacher, safety in the classroom, leadership, basic anatomy, basic spotting techniques, and participation in leading a section of the class plan. I completed the course with 100%. Acro is a strong passion of mine, and I love helping out here at The Core. I have dreams of dancing professionally and owning my own studio one day.
Andrea Rodeheffer
Tumbling Coach
From a young age, I dedicated myself to competitive gymnastics. Training rigorously and competing at various levels throughout my childhood. I even made it to Nationals all 4 years and placed at least once each year! This foundation instilled in me a passion for discipline, strength, and artistry.
As I transitioned to high school, I discovered a new challenge in pole vaulting, where i applied my gymnastics skills to this dynamic sport. I broke 2 school records in pole vault, one in high school as a junior, and the other in college as a freshman. Throughout my journey, I have cultivated resilience and love for movement that continues to inspire me.
During my college years, I discovered my passion for coaching while mentoring pole vault athletes. During my gymnastics years I would "coach" my cousin, brother, and neighbors in tumbling in our backyard. This experience reinforced my love for helping others develop their skills, and I remain committed to inspiring the next generation of athletes.

Destiny Adams
Assistant Coach
I am 19 years old. I have a lot of gymnastics and cheerleading experience. Most of my childhood, elementary and early high school years, I was in gymnastics at The Club Gymnastics. I soon discovered a new passion for Cheerleading. I decided to join my school cheerleading team in middle school all the way through high school. I was team captain on my cheer team! During high school I got an internship at my gymnastics club to work with people that had the same passion as me. Not only is cheer my passion but also helping others to exceed in cheerleading, tumbling, dance, etc. After graduating high school, I wanted to turn my experience into a career and that's when I came across The Core. I have loved everything about it, all the services they have to offer, and the people are amazing. There's nothing more exciting than growing and achieving in something you love, and I believe it's never too late to get started.
